Other CCS Projects

deepC Store will collaborate with its partners and clients from a wide range of CO2 emitting industries to identify, develop, finance, and operate a series of commercial scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects for generating material quantities of carbon credits for the clients.

Each of the CCS projects that deepC Store originates and develops may be subject to the locations of the clients’ CO2 emitting facilities, and the permits and land sites to be obtained by deepC Store for the development and operations of each project.

As per how deepC Store plans to develop its flagship CStore1 project, deepC Store will adopt a systematic phase-gated approach to identify and develop each of its commercial scale CCS projects.  The objectives and key milestones for each phase of deepC Stores’ project development are outlined below:

  • Phase 1 Feasibility:  The objective is to identify and confirm business feasibility by seeking input from partners, clients, and other key stakeholders and assessing whether a business opportunity exists.

  • Phase 2 Pre-FEED: The objectives are to mature the commercial and technical definition of the project, and to re-verify business feasibility by seeking input and alignment from partners, clients, and other key stakeholders.

  • Phase 3 FEED: The objectives are to finalise the commercial and technical definition of the project and to obtain all regulatory approvals that are required for facilitating a positive FID to commence EPC of the project.

  • Phase 4 EPC: The objectives are to EPC the project safely and as per the planned functional specification, budget, and schedule.

  • Phase 5 Operations:  The objectives are to operate and maintain the project safely and as per the planned functional specification, budget, and schedule, and to generate carbon credits and associated revenues as planned for the life of the project.
