CCS provides another pathway. CO₂ is captured before it enters the atmosphere, transported to a suitable storage site and permanently stored deep underground.

CCS can complement renewable energy, electrification, energy efficiency and other technologies—particularly where those solutions cannot remove all emissions.

dCS is focused on making offshore CO₂ storage more accessible to industries that may be too far from suitable storage sites to connect by pipeline.
