Platform for Growth
CStore1 is developed to “design one, build many.”
dCS’s shared, ship-based model can replicated across dCS's existing offshore CO₂ storage portfolio, future dCS storage areas and potentially storage sites developed with others.
Over time, this could support a network of shared offshore CCS infrastructure connecting Australian geological storage with hard-to-abate industries across the region.
dCS’s aim is to make safe, permanent offshore CO₂ storage accessible to more industries—and help build an Asia-Pacific carbon management value chain capable of operating at meaningful scale.
dCS’s Development Approach
We develop projects progressively, with spending and commitments increased only as technical, commercial, regulatory and financial risks are better understood.
1. Explore - Is there a real customer need and viable storage opportunity?
2. Develop - Develop the project with customers, partners, regulators and key stakeholders.
3. Approve - Complete the work needed for a Final Investment Decision to build.
4. Build - Construct and commission the infrastructure.
5. Operate - Safely transport and permanently store CO₂.
