CO₂ storage must deliver genuine, enduring emissions reduction while being developed safely, responsibly and transparently.
deepC Store’s approach considers the full life of the project - from transporting CO₂ to its underground storage, ongoing reporting, monitoring and verification of permanent storage, and post-closure decommissioning.
Projects are advanced through a staged process in which technical, environmental, regulatory, commercial and safety requirements are progressively assessed before further investment decisions and commitments are made.
dCS also works within the reporting and approval requirements applying to its Commonwealth-awarded offshore CO₂ storage acreages.
Additionally, dCS recognises that responsible CCS development requires meaningful engagement with governments, communities, industry and other stakeholders as projects progress.
